Kameron Jenkins

Fall 2026

My name is Kameron Jenkins and I am a Senior Communications student at Mississippi Christian University. I would be honored to complete an internship at the Sorting Bun. It is a unique and exciting opportunity to put the education and training I gained at MC into practice as a Communications Intern, working for a budding non-profit organization in Jackson, MS. The Sorting Bun is striving to make a difference in the lives of the youth of our community, making this role even more impactful for me. Through this internship, I look forward to advancing my skills in strategic communications, communication writing, and digital storytelling while building media campaigns, fostering community engagement, networking, and expanding my portfolio.

I believe this internship will support my career goals by giving me hands on experience in healthcare, professional communication, teamwork, leadership, and organization. These skills will be valuable as I pursue a career as a surgical technologist, where working well with a healthcare team, staying organized, communicating clearly, and paying attention to detail are all important. The experience will also help me become more confident and prepared for the professional healthcare environment.
